The park is made up of several rocks rising thousands of meters that have accumulated material and minerals over an estimated period of 24 million years!!! This deposit has led to the rocks and general landscape acquiring unique shades of numerous colors. If viewed from an aerial position, the entire geopark seems to have been painted by a skilled master. The region of the technicolored peaks is so beautiful that it is referred to as Rainbow Mountains.
